Little Mayvelous Things Redesign

Little mayvelous things redesignI've been trying to use my own design for my blog templates and finally I've done it.
Will write the content properly but rite now is just testing. Freaking style sheet not working properly. It's doing fine locally and now how that stupid space showing up in between!!!!!!!
DO IGNORE ME PLZ. I'm testing the post page.

Little Mayvelous Things Regesign 27Dec05Just removed that ugly blogger navigation bar from the top and readjust the layout. I thought I might like 3 column layout but then it's giving me too much pain with floating and margins and padding so I gave up and stick with 2 columns. I've increased the width of main+sidebar column. More space for posting i guess.

I'm still trying to figure out what cause the top space under the black bar. If any of you know how to solve that plz plz do let me know.

Texas + Last Name Only

At the urging of his doctor, Bill moved to Texas.

After settling in, he met a neighbor who was also an older man.

"Say, is this really a healthy place?"

"It sure is," the man replied.

"When I first arrived here I couldn't say one word. I had hardly any hair on my head. I didn't have the strength to walk across a room and I had to be lifted out of bed."

"That's wonderful!" said Bill. "How long have you been here?"

"I was born here."

Last Name Only

The manager of a large office noticed one of his department heads had hired a new man, so the boss called him into his office for a little orientation speech. "What is your name?" he asked.

"John," the new guy replied.

The manager scowled, "Look, I don't know what kind of place you worked at before, but I don't call anyone by their first name. It breeds familiarity and that leads to a breakdown in authority. I refer to my employees by their last names only - Smith, Jones, Baker - that's all. I am to be referred to only as Mr. Robertson. Now that we got that straight, what is your last name?"

The new guy sighed and said, "Darling. John Darling."

"Okay, John, the next thing I want to tell you is..."

Roof Leak

Mr. Kramer had a leak in the roof over his dining room, so he called a repairman to take a look at it. "When did you first notice the leak?" the repairman inquired.

Mr. Kramer scowled. "Last night, when it took me two hours to finish my soup!"

Divert Your Course

This is the actual radio conversation of a US naval ship with Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in October 1995. Radio conversation released by the chief of naval operations 10-10-95.

CANADIANS: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the south to avoid a collision.

AMERICANS: Recomment you divert your course 15 degrees to the north to avoid a collision.

CANADIANS: Negative. You will have to divert your course 15 degrees to the south to avoid a collision.

AMERICANS: This is the captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, diver YOUR course.

CANADIANS: No, I say again, you divert YOUR course.

AMERICANS: This is the Aircraft Carrier US LINCOLN, the second largest ship in the United States Atlantic Fleet. We are accompanied with three Destroyers, three Cruisers and numerous support vessels. I DEMEND that you change your course 15 degrees north. I say again, that's one-five degrees north, or counter-measures will be undertaken to ensure the safety of this ship.

CANADIANS: This is a lighthouse. Your call.

Step by step drawing

Believe me, this is just so cool! It might take you 1-2min and the artist is really good.
Started with skeleton structure, then changed to lady shape, then a lady with bikini, then a stripper and finally this cool image.
Really great sketches!

Wish I could draw like that.

Slow, Really Slow...

A young man was a slow worker and found it difficult to hold down a job. After a visit to the employment office, he was offered work at the local zoo. When he arrived for his first day, the keeper, aware of his reputation, told him to take care of the tortoise section.

Later, the keeper dropped by to see how the young man was doing and found him standing by an empty enclosure with the gate open.

"Where are the tortoises?" he asked.

"I can't believe it," said the new employee, "I just opened the door and whooooosh, they were gone!"

2 mins with Firefox 1.5

These few days, everyone been so excited about the new release of firefox 1.5 version. Everywhere you go, they're talking about it, posting about it.
So I thought what the heck and tried testing it out though I'm very satisfy with my current version 1.0.7.
The result was not at all satisfactory. After installation of the new version, it broke most of my extensions from version 1.0.7.

My four most favorite extensions : ScreenGrab, JustBlogIt, delicious and most widely used LoremIpsum been disabled due to incompatibility with the new firefox 1.5.
I was like, damn that's no good!, and within 2 min of testing, I reinstalled my old version 1.0.7.

Gladly enough all my extensions back to normal.

Ok, so remind me again what's so different/good about this new 1.5 version from 1.0.7??
People talk about how fast the new one is but for me it totally slow down my net. Plus it take hell lotta time to start up.
I think I'll just stick to version 1.0.7 cos' I'm so use to it. I won't try switch again until and unless someone show/tell me with the proper evident that the version 1.5 is superior over 1.0.7.

Candy Wrappers Handbags

Ahhh check these out. Made of candy wrappers? Sweet!
Very expensive though. I thought those are recycle items and why more expensive than the normal handbags?
A few designs are cute.

Ecoist handbags are made from recycled candy wrappers, food packages, and soda labels. They are 100% handmade, woven, and sewn to maintain durability for every day use. They are not coated with any toxic or non-toxic coating, yet, they they are perfectly waterproof.

hand bag1   hand bag2  hand bag3

I like those 3, #1 is too cute for Coin Pouche but it's small, not that useful, #2 is the best, perfect size. #3 is great for shopping.

Eye Movements

eye movementsI first heard of eyes movement detections in one of CSI TV shows where the detactive determined the killer cos' of his eyes looking top-left side.
In there the detactive mentioned that when you answer the question looking to the right then you're telling the truth and if looking left then something fishy going on.
And I was like, "awww" "auu" "eee" "arrrh" , I mean I was impressed. :P

Now I came across this post with proper explanation on the eye movements and thought of posting here.

Interesting notes and explains 6 eye positionings.

  • Up and to the Left Indicates: Visually Constructed Images (Vc)
  • Up and to the Right Indicates: Visually Remembered Images (Vr)
  • To the Left Indicates: Auditory Constructed (Ac)
  • To the Right Indicates: Auditory Remembered (Ar)
  • Down and to the Left Indicates: Feeling / Kinesthetic (F)
  • Down and To the Right Indicates: Internal Dialog (Ai)

Now I'm curious, how about talking with straight eyes/closing/flicking eyes behaviours?
What would you make of those?

"Yes? No? May Be? I don't know?"
"Can you repeat the question?"

Where's the Wife?

A man left work Friday afternoon, but, instead of going home, he stayed out the entire weekend, hunting with the boys and spending his paycheck without telling his wife.

When he appeared at home, Sunday night, he was confronted by his very angry spouse, who barraged him for two hours with a tirade of yelling.

Finally, she stopped the nagging and simply said to him, "How would you like it if you didn't see me for two or three days?"

To which he replied, "That would be fine with me."

So, Monday went by and he didn't see his wife.

Tuesday and Wednesday came and went with the same results.

On Thursday, the swelling went down just enough where he could see her a little out of the corner of his left eye.

Receiving E-mail

As you are receiving e-mail, it's wise to remember how easily this wonderful technology can be misused, sometimes unintentionally and with serious consequences.

Consider the case of the Michigan man who left the snow-filled streets of Detroit for a vacation in Florida. His wife was on a business trip and was planning to meet him there the next day. When he reached his hotel, he decided to send his wife a quick e-mail.

Unable to find the scrap of paper on which he had written her e-mail address, he did his best to type it in from memory. Unfortunately, he missed one letter and his note was directed instead to an elderly preacher's wife, whose husband had passed away only the day before. When the grieving widow checked her e-mail, she took one look at the monitor, let out a piercing scream, and fell to the floor in a dead faint. Hearing the scream, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen:

"Dearest Wife,

Just got checked in. Everything prepared for your arrival tomorrow.

P.S. Sure is hot down here!"

Turkey Cake

Man, can you guess what the hack is that if you don't read the title of the post?
This is the ugliest cake I've ever seen. Pretty scary too with those red M&Ms!
Kinda like some serious boils. I just lost my appetite.
What have they done to my favorite CHOCALATE CAKE!!

Turkey Cake

"place the circle on top of the bottom layer in the middle, the head on top, and the feet below the circle, as pictured. Ice as usual. Use the candy corn for the beak and feathers, red M&M's for the head and yellow and orange M&M's for the rest, and voila! You've got a great dessert to bring to your Thanksgiving feast that the kids will love."

The original recipe from "Betty Crocker", the original cake looks 80% alike turkey.
I think the damage is done by over decoration.
One M&M for the eye would be great but this is just too much!
I just hope the turkey is not having a bird flu!

How to Read 12 Digit UPC Barcodes

Today's eHow article tells you how to read barcodes.
It's pretty impressive if you have good eyesight and good with digits.
For me, I have very bad eye sight so, no can do.

barcode reading

Most barcodes in the US are 12-digit UPC barcodes, with ten digits at the bottom of the code and one small number to each side. Impress your friends by asking them to select a random item from the kitchen with a removable label and cut the numbers off of the UPC barcode; you can then proceed to read the numbers encoded in the lines.

Very cool illusion

Check this one out. Very cool indeed.

"If your eyes follow the movement of the rotating pink dot, you will only see one color, pink. If you stare at the black in the center, the moving dot turns to green. Now, concentrate on the black in the center of the picture. After a short period of time, all the pink dots will slowly disappear, and you will only see a green dot rotating if you're lucky! It's amazing how our brain works. There really is no green dot, and the pink ones really don't disappear. This should be proof enough, we don't always see what we think we see."

Exercise Techniques

Physical exercise is good for you. We know that we should do it daily, but our bodies don't want us to do too much, so here's a program of strenuous activities that do not require physical exercise.

  • Beating around the bush
  • Jumping to conclusions
  • Climbing the walls
  • Swallowing your pride
  • Passing the buck
  • Throwing your weight around
  • Dragging your heels
  • Pushing your luck
  • Making mountains out of molehills
  • Hitting the nail on the head
  • Wading through paperwork
  • Bending over backwards
  • Jumping on the bandwagon
  • Balancing the books
  • Running around in circles
  • Eating crow
  • Tooting your own horn
  • Climbing the ladder of success
  • Pulling out all the stops
  • Adding fuel to the fire
  • Opening a can of worms
  • Putting your foot in your mouth
  • Starting the ball rolling
  • Going over the edge
  • Picking up the pieces
whew! That's a workout! Now sit down and
  • Exercise caution.

A Noise...

My wife has not spoken to me in three days. I think it has something to do with what happened on Sunday night when she thought she heard a noise downstairs.

She nudged me and whispered, "Wake up, wake up!"

"What's the matter?" I asked.

"There are burglars in the kitchen. I think they're eating the tuna casserole I made tonight."

"That'll teach them!" I replied.

A Tough Task

A man was walking along the beach when he found an old bottle buried in the sand. He picked it up and cleaned it with his sleeve. Whereupon a genie appeared and offered him one wish.

"Well my family lives in Australia. It would be great if there was a bridge between here and Australia so I could drive and visit them."

"What!" cried the genie. "Have you any idea what building such a bridge would involve? The gigantic pillars all the way to the sea bed? The hundreds of gas stations to be supplied? The chaos to the shipping lanes? Are you sure there isn't anything else you'd like?"

The man thought for a moment. "Y'know, I've never had much luck in my relationships. Could you give me a complete understanding of women?"

The genie replied "Was it four lanes you wanted or six?"

GOOGLE Failure or a USA Faliure

A friend of mine forwarded me this. :P

Something really really interesting to share with you all. Try out the following steps and see what happens...! You will have to ask one question. Whether its a GOOGLE Failure or a USA Failure?

1. Go to 2. Type "failure" (without double quotes) in the search text box. 3. Press "I'm Feeling Lucky" button just next to "Google Search" button. 4. See what happens. Find it out yourself and laugh a lot. 5. Share it with your friends and relatives before GOOGLE fixes this bug. 7. Enjoy.....

Interesting hah? :D

Roasted Baby Carrots

roasted baby carrotHonestly I never try anything fancy with carrots except the same old fruit salad or fry with some veges.
So I didn't know we can roast a carrots until now.

"My friend Suzanne clued me into a great way to do up carrots. She uses the 'Nantes' French carrots from Trader Joe's or the bunched baby carrots at Whole Foods. Note that the 'baby' carrots are not those 1 inch carrots that one gets in a big bag to serve as snacks for kids. By baby carrots we mean the carrots that are 4 to 5 inches long, usually they come with the greens still on."

How do u post to your blog?

I'm curious how you guys post to your blog. I mean since we got flock and stuffs, do you guys still use blogger interface to post or??

For me I never (99%) use blogger interface. It's just too slow loading with my snail connection speed and also I don't like the WYSIWYG editor from there.

I prefer writing my own html code and the blogger interface is not good with raw code. Yes it does give you the option of switching from html to WYSIWYG view but once you type in html view and switch back to WYSIWYG, some of your codes get mess up and changes around. Also it breaks the lines breaks and I don't know it never turns out the way I want it to be so I hate it alot.

I also hardly use flock. Flock is just silly extra stuffs that I never need in the first place. I just tested how posting down in flock but almost same same as blogger interface so I ignored that too.

My favorite is this little firefox extension call "JustBlogIt". It has the options for most of the blog services like:

  • Blogger
  • Drupal
  • LiveJournal
  • Moveable Type
  • Radio Userland
  • Text Pattern
  • Type Pad
  • My fav WordPress
  • and even custom setting blogs

How sweet is that hah? :P If you set it up to blogger then it has an option to choose which blogspot blog you wanna post.
Also if you want to post some of the site content you browsing then you just highlight the content and right click > JustBlogIt...Voila! it's up in the box and ready to publish.
It handle the html raw code very well too. I always type with the code to keep it valid html although this blog is not valid html. I just making sure if in the future I decided to merge with one of my other valid html blogs then this shouldnt mess up other site code. yah this is how I post to my blogspot blog. For my wordpress blog I dont use "JustBlogIt" extension cos' I like wordpress interface.

How about u guys? Have you guys use some kind of firefox extension or flock or just same old blogger interface?

Blogger Comment Moderation

Blogger has added the comment moderation function in their interface.

"We've just introduced a frequently-asked for feature, comment moderation. By using this feature, you can approve or reject what would-be commenters are looking to post before it goes live on your blog." Via: Blog Buzz

One good thing about is, it can be done through blogger setting interface or from your very own email.
I think I prefer using email setting rather than login to blogger interface because it always take hell lotta time loading the site.

This entire process can also be done via email. If you entered an email address for moderation, you will get a message for each comment which will contain "Publish" and "Reject" links, as well as a link to the main moderation page for the blog.

More info on how to set up the comment moderation system in your blogspot blogs, check this help article on "How do I moderate comments on my blog".

Gorillaz Toys

Can you believe these ugly toys are that expensive and some people are actually buying them?

Gorillaz Toys

I like some of their music but the those toys are just too ugly for my liking.
If you feel like you must have one of those then "Kid Robot" selling them.

A conductor was having a lot of trouble with a drummer. He constantly gave this guy personal attention and much advice, but his performance simply didn't improve. Finally, before the whole orchestra, he took a critical jab at the drummer,

"When a musician just can't handle his instrument and doesn't improve when given help, they take away the instrument, give him two sticks, and make him a drummer -- which must be why you play the drums."

A stage whisper was heard from the percussion section,

"And if he can't handle even that, they take away one of his sticks and make him a conductor."

Mayvelous Down!

Man can you believe that? I just notice my mayvelous domain is down. Got hit by hurrican Wilma. CRAP! :(
This is the response I got from the support team.

Here's the problem: As many of you are aware, one of our datacenters was in the direct path of hurricane Wilma. Although the facility should be well equipped to handle such storms, there has been a serious failure within the 10MW generator plant. Onsite engineers have been unsuccessful in attempts to restore backup power and additional support is enroute. At this time, the ETA for repair is 3:30 EST.

Hopefully it's back to normal soon and no lose of data or what so ever. :(

Top 7 Tricks For Getting an Interview

I got this via lifehack. "How to write a resume" site is pointing out pretty simple and interesting tips to get yourself an interview. The tips are as follow.

The first pic looks very real isn't it? Make you think hah! No just an visual effect, thank god!

alien plant

"This photo-realistic anime video (more here) of slow-moving plants with tentacles, tongues, beaks and lazily blinking eyes actually made my stomach do one of those slow somersaults you get when you step on a turd. Something about these evinces a genuinely atavistic reaction, a whole-body squick. There's nothing overtly gross here, but the net effect makes me go all ooey-gooey" Link

Father's Lesson

A boy asks his father to explain the differences among irritation, aggravation, and frustration.

His father picks up the phone and dials a number at random. When the phone is answered, he asks, "Can I speak to Alf, please?"

"No! There's no one called Alf here," says the person who answered the phone.

His father hangs up. "That's irritation," he says.

He picks up the phone again, dials the same number, and asks for Alf a second time. "No-there's no one here called Alf. Go away. If you call again I shall telephone the police," the person says.

His father hangs up and says, "That's aggravation."

"Then what's frustration?" asks his son. The father picks up the phone and dials the same number a third time.

"Hello, this is Alf. Have I received any phone calls?" he asks casually.

The year is made of 365 days having 24 hours, 12 of which are night time hours which add up to 182 days.

This leaves you with 183 days of work minus 52 Sundays which leaves you 131 days to work minus 52 Saturdays which leaves you 79 days to work and there are four hours each day set aside for eating which adds to 60 days which leaves you 19 days for working, and are entitled to 15 days for your vacation which leaves you 4 days left for work minus 3 days usually taken off due to illness or other emergencies, which leaves you one day to work which happens to be a Labor day, which is a holiday.

Huh???? How did that happen???

Coffee Break with Surgeons

5 surgeons are taking a coffee break:

1st surgeon says, "Accountants are the best to operate on because when you open them up, everything inside is numbered."

2nd surgeon says, "Nah, librarians are the best. Everything inside them is in alphabetical order."

3rd surgeon says, "Try electricians, man! Everything inside them is color coded."

4th surgeon says, "I prefer lawyers. They're heartless, spineless, gutless, and their heads and butts are interchangeable."

5th surgeon says, "I like engineers ... they always understand when you have a few parts left over at the end."

With this little number, you can work in Word like you normally do and then save your document as a post to your Blogger blog. Once you install the plug-in and restart Word, some buttons will appear. These buttons allow you to publish, edit, and save as draft from within Word."

I don't know, dont like the idea of adding plugin to MS word as word format itself is already load with junk codes...

This is so cool. One page how-to cartoons for kids. Cartoons always make things more interesting and kids love to follow things from their comic characters so this howtoons going to make a enjoyable impact on kids (on me too hehe :-D)

Howtoons are one-page cartoons showing 5-to-15 year-old kids "How To" build things. Each illustrated episode is a stand-alone fun adventure accessible to all, including the pre-literate. Our Howtoons are designed to encourage children to be active participants in discovering the world through Play-that-Matters -- fun, creative, and inventive -- and to rely a lot less on mass-consumable entertainment.

How to shoot Rubber Bands

Okie this is not a good stuffs for kids, might get hurt trying out. Nevertheless it's fun to play around sometime. Myself hate it alot when i get shot with rubber bands and i'm sure most of you hate it too. But for those shooters, it's a great fun. I'm not encouraging shooters here just found this nice little note and sharing along.

Guide to Shooting Rubber Bands by: Tim Morgan: "Rubber band shooting has come a long way from its early and pathetic roots. Kids would take the rubber band, mount it on their thumb, and shoot. This would lead to instability in flight and painful misfires, especially for chronic shooters."

Irvine Underground - lockpicking interview and howto | BlogCadre: "Here's a quick and dirty deadbolt lock picking howto that'll give you and your friends some cheap entertainment on a slow weekend afternoon."

You'll need the following (pardon my lack of proper lingo):

  • torque tool - flat skinny piece of metal with a 90 degree bend at the end. used for applying rotational pressure on the lock.
  • pick/rake tool - another flat skinny piece of metal with a smal triangular bump at the end. used for pushing up the pins within the lock.
  • lock - of the deadbolt variety. used for entertainment on a slow afternoon.

Close Encounter with Mars on August 27

Watch the Sky! Never again in your lifetime will the Red Planet be so spectacular! This month and next month the Earth is catching up with Mars, an encounter that will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. Due to the way Jupiter's gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the last 5,000 years but it may be as long as 60,000 years. The encounter will culminate on August 27th when Mars comes to within 34,649,589 miles and will be (next to the moon) the brightest object in the night sky. It will attain a magnitude of -2.9 and will appear 25.11 arc seconds wide. At a modest 75-power magnification Mars will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. Mars will be easy to spot. At the beginning of August, Mars will rise in the east at 10 p.m. and reach its azimuth at about 3 a.m. By the end of August when the two planets are closest, Mars will rise at nightfall and reach its highest point in the sky at 12:30 a.m. That's pretty convenient when it comes to seeing something that no human has seen in recorded history. So mark your calendar at the beginning of August to see Mars grows progressively brighter and brighter throughout the month. Share with your children and grandchildren. No one alive today will ever see this again."

The Instructions

For everyone born before 1986!!!

According to today's regulators and bureaucrats, those of us who were kids in the 60's, 70's and early 80's probably shouldn't have survived, because our baby cots were covered with brightly coloured lead-based paint which was promptly chewed and licked. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, or latches on doors or cabinets and it was fine to play with pans. When we rode our bikes, we wore no helmets, just flip-flops and fluorescent 'spokey dokey's' on our wheels. As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or airbags - riding in the passenger seat was a treat. We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle and it tasted the same. We ate chips, bread and butter pudding and drank fizzy juice with sugar in it, but we were never overweight because we were always outside playing. We shared one drink with four friends, from one bottle or can and no-one actually died from this. We would spend hours building go-carts out of scraps and then went top speed down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into stinging nettles a few times, we learned to solve the problem. We would leave home in the morning and could play all day, as long as we were back before it got dark. No one was able to reach us and no one minded. We did not have Play stations or X-Boxes, no video games at all. No 99 channels on TV, no videotape movies, no surround sound, no mobile phones, no personal computers, no DVDs, no Internet chat rooms. We had friends - we went outside and found them. We played elastics and rounders, and sometimes that ball really hurt! We fell out of trees, got cut, and broke bones but there were no law suits. We had full on fist fights but no prosecution followed from other parents. We played chap-the-door-run-away and were actually afraid of the owners catching us. We walked to friends' homes. We also, believe it or not, WALKED to school; we didn't rely on mummy or daddy to drive us to school, which was just round the corner. We made up games with sticks and tennis balls. We rode bikes in packs of 7 and wore our coats by only the hood. The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke a law was unheard of...They actually sided with the law. This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers and problem solvers and inventors, ever. The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas. We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all. And you're one of them. Congratulations! Pass this on to others who have had the luck to grow as real kids, before lawyers and government regulated our lives, for our own good. For those of you who aren't old enough, thought you might like to read about us. This my friends, is surprisingly frightening......and it might put a smile on your face: The majority of students in universities today were born in 1986........They are called youth. They have never heard of We are the World, We are the children, and the Uptown Girl they know is by Westlife not Billy Joel. They have never heard of Rick Astley, Bananarama, Nena Cherry or Belinda Carlisle. For them, there has always been only one Germany and one Vietnam. AIDS has existed since they were born. CD's have existed since they were born. Michael Jackson has always been white. To them John Travolta has always been round in shape and they can't imagine how this fat guy could be a god of dance. They believe that Charlie's Angels and Mission Impossible are films from last year. They can never imagine life before computers. They'll never have pretended to be the A Team, RedHand Gang or the Famous Five. They'll never have applied to be on Jim'll Fix It or Why Don't You. They can't believe a black and white television ever existed. And They will never understand how we could leave the house without a mobile phone. Now let's check if we're getting old... 1. You understand what was written above and you smile. 2. You need to sleep more, usually until the afternoon, after a night out. 3. Your friends are getting married/already married. 4. You are always surprised to see small children playing comfortably with computers. 5. When you see teenagers with mobile phones, you shake your head. 6. You remember watching Dirty Den in EastEnders the first time around. 7. You meet your friends from time to time, talking about the good Old days, repeating again all the funny things you have experienced together. 8. Having read this mail, you are thinking of forwarding it to some other friends because you think they will like it too... Yes, you're getting old!!

Voted women's favourite joke of the year, 13/05/04, World according to Kieran

Voted women's favourite joke of the year, 13/05/04, World according to Kieran: "A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed home. He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed 'Dear Lord: I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home. I want her to know what I go through, so please allow her body to switch with mine for a day. Amen. God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish. The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman. He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, wakened the kids, Set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches, Drove them to school, came home and picked up the dry cleaning, took it to the cleaners, and stopped at the bank to make a deposit, went grocery shopping, Then drove home to put away the groceries, Paid the bills and balanced the checkbook. He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog. Then it was already 1 P.M. and he hurried to make the beds, do the laundry, vacuum, dust, and sweep and mop the kitchen floor. Ran to the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with them on the way home. Set out milk and cookies and got the kids organized to do their homework, Then set up the ironing board and watched TV while he did the ironing. At 4:30 he began peeling potatoes and washing vegetables for salad, breaded the pork chops and snapped fresh beans for supper. After supper, he cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded laundry, bathed the kids, and put them to bed. At 9 P.M. he was exhausted and, though his daily chores weren't finished, he went to bed where he was expected to make love, which he managed to get through without complaint. The next morning, he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said, Lord, I don't know what I was thinking. I was so wrong to envy my wife's Being able to stay home all day. Please, oh please, let us trade back.' The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied, 'My son, I feel you have Learned your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were. You'll just have to wait nine months, though. You got pregnant last night.'"
